A list of 30 restaurants where to eat in South Tenerife for every taste: traditional Canarian and spanish cuisine, pizzerias, seafood spots, Italian and ethnic food.
As I always like to clarify when I write this type of article, this list is simply indicative of my personal preference among places I’ve tried myself and enjoyed, whether discovered by chance or recommended by locals.
So here’s a list of 30 restaurants personally tested by me!
To make things easier, I’ve divided them into categories so you can find what you’re looking for depending on your mood or craving.

Traditional Canarian cuisine, with a wide choice of meat, fish and even vegetarian dishes, tapas and more. Casual and welcoming atmosphere.
Mesón Castellano

Quality Spanish and Canarian cuisine—one of the best typical restaurants in South Tenerife. Extensive menu with meat and fish options.
Mesón Era las Mozas

Traditional Canarian dishes. Wide choice of plates, house wine, budget-friendly prices, generous portions.
Where to eat italian food in Tenerife south
Restaurante Da Maury – al bacaro venexian
Calle Puerto Rico, 2, 38627 Arona, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Rustic, homemade trattoria in the inland area of Buzanada. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Tenerife. Venetian seafood cuisine with excellent baccalà mantecato, seafood salad, and fried fish. Ask for daily special pasta!
First Love
C.c compostela beach Paseo tarajal, Arona
Slightly tucked away from the seafront promenade of Playa Las Vistas, First Love is an excellent Italian restaurant you absolutely must try in Tenerife. I recommend starting with the mixed appetizers featuring cured meats, cheeses, and vegetables, and don’t miss their homemade fresh pasta!
Da Massimetto al porto
Calle la Paloma, 11, Local 4, 38650 Los Cristianos, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
One of the best Italian seafood restaurants in Los Cristianos center. Recommended: fish tartare of the day and spaghetti alle vongole (my favorite!).
Rosario Restaurante
Paseo Marítimo, 17 CC Ledesbel, Local 5A, 38650 Los Cristianos, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Lovely restaurant with sea view on the Los Cristianos promenade. Italian cuisine with traditional and reinvented dishes: meat and fish menu, plus vegetarian options.
Oinè Trattoria Italiana
Av. la Habana, 12, 38650 Playa de la Américas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Traditional Neapolitan cuisine. I may be biased because I am from Naples, but I loved it! Located in Los Cristianos, near Playa Las Vistas.
Sapori Ristorante Pizzeria
Calle Berna, 7, 38650 Los Cristianos, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Excellent Italian cuisine with pasta, meat and fish dishes.
La Caponata
Sunset Harbour Club, C. Valencia, 3, A01, 38660 Torviscas Bajo, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Sicilian cuisine restaurant, with excellent regional dishes. Must-try: caponata and seafood pasta (especially recon salmon ravioli!).
Mediterranean Cuisine in the south of Tenerife
Agua y Sal
Av. Emigrante, 24, 38687 Guía de Isora, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Seaside-style restaurant in Playa San Juan (also in Tajao). I went to the Playa San Juan branch—great seafood dishes. Choose at the counter your fresh fish to be cooked. First courses also very good.
La Duquesa Bistrot
A refined sea-view bistro in La Caleta offering Mediterranean cuisine with French and Italian touches. The menu changes seasonally, and you can opt for tasting menus with wine pairing for a full gourmet experience. Perfect for a romantic or special night out in a quiet, elegant setting.
Restaurante Sal Negra

Beautiful ocean-view restaurant inside San Telmo shopping mall overlooking Playa Las Vistas. Excellent dishes, served elegantly.
Sal Fina

Italian restaurant in Los Cristianos center serving burgers, pasta, and main dishes.
El Jardín de la Abuela

One of my favorite places in South Tenerife. Tapas bar and restaurant offering creative dishes in an original, colorful, welcoming venue.

Asian cuisine with excellent pad thai. Located on the first floor of Siam Mall.
Yim Siam Thai Restaurant
On the corner of Calle La Paloma, Plaza Fontana, 11, Local 1, 38650 Los Cristianos, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Great Thai food with inexpensive lunch menus in Los Cristianos center.
Rincón del Sushi
Av. Rosa de los Vientos Local 8 y 9, 38670 Adeje, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
One of the best sushi places on the island. Located in Adeje.
Deba Sushi Lounge
Calle Galicia, 4, 38660 Costa Adeje, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Excellent sushi spot in Tenerife. Quality products and wide selection. Better book in advance.

Sicilian bakery/deli with mini pizzas, sandwiches and typical Sicilian sweets and cream-filled croissants (pistachio, coconut, etc.). Perfect for breakfast, snack, lunch, or dinner. Eat in or takeaway.
Burger Café
Paseo Guadalajara, 50, 38650 Playa de la Américas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Excellent Buddha bowls (also vegan/vegetarian) and a wide selection of burgers and wraps. A few steps from the ocean, near main surf schools.
Dedos
Av. Rafael Puig Lluvina, 17, 38660 Costa Adeje, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Burgers, sandwiches, bowls, meat and fish dishes, with vegetarian options. Multiple locations in South Tenerife. Known for some of the best burgers on the island.

Oro di Napoli

Maybe my favorite pizza in Tenerife, named among Europe’s best. Neapolitan-style. I always get the vegetarian pizza with mozzarella and veggies—it’s delicious!
Pizzeria Carbone

Another great Napolitan pizza place in Costa Adeje.
Ciao Totò

Restaurante El Cine

Informal restaurant in Los Cristianos (near the port) offering fresh seafood, tasty dishes, a menu without too many options, and reasonably priced. Generous portions!
Delicias del Mar
Av. Cabildo Insular, 5, 38588 San Miguel de Tajao, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Seafood restaurant in the fishing village of San Miguel de Tajao. Fresh fish straight from the counter. One of the best in the area—booking recommended.
Guachinche El Cordero
Carretera General a Galletas, 8, 38639 El Monte o Guargacho, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Primarily a meat-based restaurant. The highlight is its setting, it feels like being in a huge green jungle. If you don’t eat meat, options are limited, since it’s mostly a steakhouse, but you can still enjoy tapas and typical canarian side dishes.
Tierra Café
Unit 10 Centro Comercial Playa Puerto Colón, 38660 Costa Adeje, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
A great spot in South Tenerife for vegetarians and vegans. Located in Puerto Colón, with a large outdoor terrace and sea view. Try the vegan burgers, bowls, toasts and smoothies; I adore their avocado toast with greek feta.
