For the third year in a row, I have returned to the island of La Maddalena again this year.
I will spend the summer months here working remotely and enjoying the natural beauty and wonderful beaches of the archipelago.
So, today I want to recommend some of the best restaurants on the island of La Maddalena that I have personally tried and enjoyed.

Zì Antò Restaurant – Punta Tegge
One of my favorite restaurants where to eat sea view in La Maddalena. It is located near Punta Tegge beach, which I particularly love because it is sheltered by granite rocks and has crystal clear, calm water.
The outdoor dining room has tables with a sea view; the cuisine is mostly seafood, with a very friendly and welcoming staff. If you go for a quick lunch, you have to try their famous “bruschetta”.
Vineria Ninì
Very nice and informal place in the center of La Maddalena, great place for aperitifs and to taste typical Sardinian cold cuts and cheeses accompanied by a good wine list.
Summer evenings have live music and concerts.

Locanda del mirto – Punta della gatta
A very quaint restaurant inland from La Maddalena, one of the best places to try meat and local cuisine. Here you can choose from a Sardinian land and sea menu in an intimate restaurant with stone walls and wooden furnishings.
You can eat both inside and in the beautiful outdoor garden, where there are some small gazebos (better to book in advance) where you can eat if you are looking for a private and intimate atmosphere.

Beautiful restaurant in Nido d’aquila, with a 10-star view of the sea. In fact, the tables are arranged on a bright outdoor terrace that, like a stage, overlooks the water.
I have been there once for aperitifs at sunset and once for lunch, after the beach. The dishes are very good, well presented and innovative, mostly fish-based. I tried a cuttlefish tagliatelle and codfish, both of which were excellent.
Vucciria Restaurant
If you are a lover of Sicilian cuisine (I am big fun!), you cannot miss this Sicilian restaurant in La Maddalena. It is in the center of town, conveniently located near the port where the ferries disembark and the bus stop.
It has an indoor dining room and outdoor tables in the square and prepares Sicilian cuisine, as well as having an irresistible deli corner and typical desserts.
Everything here speaks of Sicily, from the decor, to the tables, to the music. They also deliver to your home with Just Eat!
Perla Blu Ristorante
Very cozy restaurant with a beautiful terrace overlooking the small harbor of Cala Gavetta, where to eat in La Maddalena sea view.
The menu is large and varied and you can choose from several fish dishes but also meat and a vegan menu.
I tried a mussel soup, excellent grilled pecorino cheese and delicious spaghetti with mussel pesto, cherry tomatoes and pistachios (one of the chef’s specialties, I was told).
The best way to make sure to enjoy this restaurant is to book on advance, especially during crowded summer months.

Magreta Restaurant
I have been several times to this restaurant in the center of the island that prepares seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. In particular, I really enjoyed the seafood entrees.
In high season I recommend that you book your table in advance because it is always quite full.
Osteria Da Liò
Historic osteria on the island, where there is a cozy, family atmosphere. Always open from lunch to aperitifs to dinner and after dinner.
It has an outdoor garden for those who want to eat outside and is a particularly popular place for those who want to have an aperitif in La Maddalena.

Sette Otto Pesca – Cala Gavetta
Located in Cala Gavetta, across from the marina, this restaurant offers fresh seafood and Mediterranean cuisine.
It doesn’t go unnoticed and in fact inspired me from the first moment I walked past it thanks to the white and blue colors of the restaurant, which are somewhat reminiscent of a Greek island atmosphere.
Meet Pub La Maddalena
In the central Piazza Umberto I, the heart of La Maddalena, where there are stalls and events, is this sandwich shop where I have been several times.
Not only sandwiches, but also boards, grilled meats, fries, side dishes and salads. Friendly service and great location, perfect for eating in La Maddalena while spending little.

Among the best restaurants in La Maddalena and certainly among the most characteristic. It is the first stazzo in La Maddalena (a hub of rural life for shepherds and farmers for centuries) and is located in the countryside, surrounded by myrtle forests.
The atmosphere, as you might imagine, is very rustic, with a fireplace, wooden furniture and farm tools on the walls. The menu is typical Sardinian based on excellent products.
Restaurant l’Agriturismo
I went to this agriturismo, which is located near the Piras village, on a rare rainy day, so I ate inside (but there are also outdoor spaces).
The ambiance is warm and cozy, and here you can enjoy home cooked, typical Sardinian dishes, and meat specialties from the wood-fired oven and barbecue (you can also find Sardinian porcetto)

Pizzeria I capatosta
Neapolitan pizzeria offering tasty and special pizzas. You can choose from classic pizzas and gourmet pizzas as well as starters, first courses and second courses.

In Caprera, on the beach, there is this elegant beach club. Cala portese is a magical place on a white pristine beach, where you can enjoy a nice lunch or dinner, cuddled by sea breeze.
The kitchen offers sushi and Mediterranean cuisine. Perfect if you want to eat sea view in Caprera in a private and refined atmosphere.

Puffer fish
If you love seafood and fried fish, don’t miss this restaurant-friggitoria. I loved it, especially the crispy fried fish and seafood entrees, which are one of my favorite things ever.
You can eat directly on site or order take-out. Fresh ingredients and nice service are the key of the succcess of this restaurant.
I mille paninoteca – Caprera island
On a trip to Caprera, the island where Giuseppe Garibaldi was confinated, you will find beautiful pine trees forests and a scenic road between the trees.
I recommend stopping at this outdoor sandwich bar with tables scattered throughout a beautiful pine forest where you can cool off among hammocks and wooden tables during hot summer days.
The place is very relaxing the sandwich menu wide and tasty.

Il gabbiano Restaurant
Il Gabbiano is the restaurant of the hotel of the same name located in La Maddalena, near Punta Nera beach. I really like it for two reasons: it makes a very good Neapolitan pizza and it has tables that are practically almost on the water, overlooking the beautiful sea of the archipelago.
I recommend making a reservation, because it is often full, and ask for one of the tables on the outdoor terrace. In addition to pizza, the kitchen offers several seafood dishes (and not just Mediterranean cuisine).
Risto Bar il Baleno
This is one of my favorite places to eat (or even have a drink) in La Maddalena. The closer I am to the sea, the better off I am, and here the restaurant tables are right on a pier overlooking the Punta Nera pier.
You can eat with the roar of the water in the background and admire boats and dinghies docked in front of the restaurant. I don’t know about you, but it really relaxes me.
The cuisine is simple but good and offers a little bit of everything, from sandwiches and salads to fried and grilled fish. You can go there for lunch between beaches, for dinner for a more romantic atmosphere, or even for aperitifs or after-dinner drinks. In addition to the beauty of the place, I also find the prices quite affordable compared to the island average.

Restaurant-gastronomy with few but very good dishes, based on fish and gourmet sandwiches.
Great location, in La Maddalena town, centrally located and on an elevated terrace surrounded by plants. I tried some excellent fish tacos here, an equally good fish fry and a cod parmigiana.
