You can choose among luxury hotels, private villa, budget accommodation or apartments. Be mindful, though: it is very important to book on advance because Capri can be very crowded, especially in high season, and it can be quite pricey too!

The best areas to stay in Capri
- Marina Grande – Good place to stay next to the port, with many attractions.
- Capri Town – Center of Capri, perfect place for shopping, restaurants and nightlife.
- Marina Piccola – Great location if you are looking for a luxury holiday.
- Anacapri – Best area for a medium budget stay.
Marina Grande
Marina Grande is the first place youl’ll see once you get off the ferry that will take you to Capri, from Naples of from Sorrento
It is a great place to stay if you don’t plan to rent a car, since you will have everything at a short walk distance.
In Marina Grande, you will also have the largest beach of Capri, called Spiaggia di Marina Grande, which is located right next to the port.
Besides this beach, there is also a smaller one, Spiaggia di Bagni Tiberio.
If you want to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Capri, make sure to climb famous Scala Fenicia, a stair of 921 steps that will take you from Marina Grande to the center of Anacapri.

The main village of Capri, where you will find a lot of boutiques, luxury shops, bars and high end restaurants. This is also the area you want to be if you like to have a drink or some nightlife with music and fun.
Here the is one of the most popular places in Capri, called La Piazzetta (officially Piazza Umberto), which is the main square of Capri, where most of bars and fantastic restaurants are located. For shopping, instead, you need to stroll down popular Via Camerelle.
If you don’t have a car, this is a great place to stay, since it’s well connected with the rest of the island by buses.

-Villa Jovis – palace built by Emperor Tiberio, where you can still admire ancient roman ruins
-Giardini di Augusto – scenic beautiful garden with amazing view over Capri

Finally, Capri is home to many famous grottos. The most accessible from Capri town are Natural arch, grotta rossa and grotta bianca.

Marina Piccola
Capri is famous for being one of the favorite destinations for celebrities and rich people, coming here with their huge and amazing yachts. That’s why this is the place to be to see and be seen!
One of the most exclusive parts of the island is the small port of Marina Piccola, in the southwest of Capri. Here you will find a lot of luxury hotels, fancy restaurants and bars and of course, expect the prices to be a bit higher than the rest of the island.
From the beaches of Marina Piccola and Torre Saracena beach, you can have a wonderful view over famous faraglioni rocks.

Anacapri
Anacapri is a less crowded area, where most of the local people of Capri live. Usually it also offers some cheaper accommodations and b&b, where you can stay with a lower budget than the rest of the island. In Anacapri there is the highest pick of the island, Mount Solaro, where you can admire one of the best views over the island.
In the center, which is one of the main towns of Capri, you will find some attractions such as Museo Casa Rossa, San Michele Curch, Villa San Michele and the famous Blue Grotto is reachable from here.
Anacapri is also the right place to be if you like outdoor activities such as trekking and hiking. There is, for example, a beautiful hike in a path called Sentiero dei fortini borbonici.

The closest airport to reach Capri is the Napoli Capodichino Airport, in the city of Naples.
It takes 15 minutes to get from the airport to the Molo Beverello, the port where the ferries to Capri leave. The ride is almosta 1 hour.
